DAMR is looking for new board members! Are you interested in contributing to the biggest network of migration scholars in the Netherlands and representing the migration research taking place at your university? Please find the full call below – we particularly encourage applications from universities not currently represented in our board (Tilburg University, Wageningen University, Groningen University, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and the technical universities in Delft, Twente, and Eindhoven).
The Dutch Association for Migration Research (DAMR) is the network of migration scholars in the Netherlands. Our aim is to increase the scientific standing of migration research in the Netherlands/on migration in the Netherlands by bringing together scholars from different disciplines, creating a platform for discussions on research methodology, theory formation, and societal challenges related to migration. We pay particular attention to engaging with PhD candidates and young researchers to stimulate interaction and scientific discussion.
To achieve our objectives, we actively reach out to our members in different Dutch universities. Our board consists of representatives from different universities, and we seek to expand the board to get a better reach to other universities. We are, therefore, especially inviting new board members for Tilburg University, Wageningen University, Groningen University, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and the technical universities in Delft, Twente, and Eindhoven.
If you are interested in joining our association as a board member and representing migration research taking place at your university, please submit your application to Laura Cleton (DAMR secretary – email@example.com) by 6 December 2021.
In your application, please include your contact details and a maximum of one page explaining 1) your motivation to join the DAMR board and 2) how you would like to contribute to DAMR as a board member with one concrete project idea or initiative.
We welcome applications from (international) scholars from different disciplines and career stages.
If you have further questions about this call, please contact Laura Cleton (DAMR secretary) at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks very much for your interest in advance. We look forward to receiving your application!
